Baseline Schedule vs. Schedule Baseline
PMBOK Guide, 4th Edition has a term called "Baseline Schedule". It is listed on page 182 and 341. It is also mentioned as an item in the index.
So, what is a Baseline Schedule? What is the difference between Baseline Schedule and Schedule Baseline?
Comments
I dont see any difference; both can be used interchangeably..

Hmmmmm ... I do not disagree, but not 100% convinced

I think both are same because on page 182 where it mentions "baseline schedule" it says The EVM schedule variance is a useful metric in that it can indicate a project falling behind its baseline schedule.
Now the keyword here is "falling behind" because how do you know if you are falling behind or not? You compare it with something and here that thing is baseline schedule. I think the confusion is due to not using correct grammar (or tense!?). May be using "baselined schedule" would be much better or to remove confusion 100%, simply use "schedule baseline"
@aliweb
I agree with you somewhat. We would have to wait for PMBOK 5 and see whether it is more consistent on these terms. Thanks for your input.
Best regards.
