Contact hours through REP vs NonREP
For those that don't already have contact hours for the PMP/CAPM, how important is it to take a course from a REP? I found a program from a NonREP to fulfill the 23 hours I need for the CAPM, but I'm concerned what would happen if I'm one of the 'lucky' ones to be audited?

Hello @jevoyager
That's an excellent question and thanks for posting it.
Let's first look at what the CAPM Handbook says about this topic:
You can satisfy the education requirements by demonstrating the successful completion of courses, workshops and training sessions offered by one or more of the following types of education providers:
A. PMI Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s) *
B. PMI chapters or communities of practice *
C. Employer/company-sponsored programs
D. Training companies or consultants
E. Distance-learning companies, including an end of course assessment
F. University/college academic and continuing education programs
From what I can tell from your message, your course would fall under Category E. You need to consider the following:
Your course should have an end of course assessment and provide you the assessment report in addition to the Contact Hours certificate.
Your contact hours would not be pre-approved. It means that if your application is selected for an audit, apart from producing your Contact Hours certificate, you may need to provide your assessment report and also be prepared to show course agenda/curriculum (if specifically requested).
As long as your non-REP source is reputable and fulfills the above requirements, you should be fine.
I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if you have any follow-up queries.
Good luck.
