Failed PMP & eligibility also expired... advice needed

hi guys
I had one year eligibility period for the pmp exam but some how i havnt took it ... and scheduled it on 17 october-12 (last day of one year period) ...but just 3 days before my exam I have been blessed with a baby boy and i was way too busy in accommodating myself between hospital,work and all ...and was not able to wrap up the studies... no proper sleep and all the conditions associated with a new born . i was literally napping during the 4 hour exam .... and I failed........

now my one year time is also expired and i would seek advice wht to do next...
keeping in view the changed PMBOK and new format for PMP exam by 30july 13.
i want to take the exam before that but as per my understanding I am not eligible to do so till one year...
PMI.org also not very clear and even not showing my previous attempt result on the site.
If some one could advice ...

Hi @furqanpmp,

you could e-mail them for any clarifications, give it a try. You might not get better phone support since it might be a policy matter someone has to review, for you to take the exam prior to July'13...All the best.

I'm not sure how far you got along on this, but as per PMI's policy, you need to wait for 1 year. You can call/email them for an exception, but I doubt that you'll get one.

Otherwise, unfortunately, you'll have to study with PMBOK v5 for your next attempt.

In either case, keep us posted. It might help others in the similar situations.
