PMP certification exam is changing on 31 July 2013
PMI has announced the official dates for changing PMP and their other certification exams. For PMP particularly, it means that you can take the exam for PMBOK® Guide, 4th edition, until July 30, 2013. If you take the exam ON or AFTER July 31, 2013, it will be based on PMBOK® Guide, 5th Edition, which is due for release on Dec 31, 2012.
The official dates for exam change are:

Hi Harwinder, Great information. As you know i am taking my PMP certification training from PMstudy and taking the exam on the 5th day. Now will the change in PMBok edition change is going to effect us any way?

I am taking up the class shortly with Pmstudy. I hope that the changes will not have an impact in my upcoming class. Let me know if you are changing your study plan accordingly.
Most people complete the PMP Exam study process in a four to six month timeframe. If you are starting now, that's a good thing! I wish you speed and accuracy. All the PMBOK v4 material in PMStudy and other sites is valid. I don't expect to to see any changes to class material (for any provider) until May or June 2013. Try to structure your studies so you will sit for the exam in May or June 2013. That way you will avoid the "last minute crush", as the end of July approaches.
