Marking questions in exam

edited May 2012 in PM Certifications

In the CAPM exam, can I mark and answer a question at the same time? Marking is useful if I need to return to any question about which I have reservations but I'm thinking if I run out of time I want to have at least attempted the question before I submit my answers. Which in turn begs the question, are marked and answered questions included as an attempt in the exam (ie avaialble for scoring). If not then I will need to set aside time to return to all marked questions to unmark them. Please advise. Sean.

Yes, you can mark and answer the questions at the same time. In fact, it is advisable to do so. If you are not sure about the answer to a question, make an educated guess, mark the question for review and move forward. Answer every question on your first pass, and then revisit the marked questions. This way you'll not have any unanswered question even if you run out of time at the end.

Also, there's no negative marking for incorrect answers.

If you have answered a question, it will still be counted toward your final score irrespective of whether the question is marked or not. Marking featuring is just for your convenience. The system doesn't care whether a question is marked or not.

    Hope that answers your question.
