Know the ITTO's but don't memorize them for the CAPM???
Ok, so I keep reading what are (to me) conflicting comments about the ITTOs. I read that you need to really know the ITTOs for the CAPM as there's a lot of questions on these. But THEN I read not to memorize the ITTOs because there's to many (618ish I think). I asked on another forum where I saw a lot of these comments, and was told even within the same response to 'know them but not memorize them'. Ok, so which is it? I'm confused, lol
I get that you should go beyond straight memorization and understand what they mean, I'm not sure if that's what people are talking about when they say 'know them but don't memorize them'? But to me if I need to know them for the test, then that means I need to work at memorizing the material best I can along with everything else.
I'm also wondering how much of my study time should be devoted to this? Anyone know about how much of the test is on the ITTO's? (eg if there's like 20% on the ITTO's, then I'd spend some time on it, but use the majority of my time on the rest of the material).
Thanks for any insight!

Hi @jevoyager
I would say that it's a combination of understanding and memorizing. It would be almost impossible to memorize all the ITTOs without understanding them. Majority of them are logical and make sense. But there are some outliers too that you may need to memorize.
You can grasp about 80% of the ITTOs by understanding, and the remaining 20% may require memorization.
My approach would be to focus on understanding them and taking mental notes (call it memorization) of some outliers.
Hope that helps.
Good luck.
