why Resource calender is not input for estimating the cost?

Because you already used Resource Calendars in estimating activity resources and durations, which were further used to develop the schedule. The cost estimation is done based on the schedule.

Thanks, it makes more sense to me now. I have another question on this too, in the PMBOK, the resource calender is part of the staffing management plan which is o/p of develop HR plan (page 223-224), yet the resource calender shows up as o/p for Acquire team too (page 229).

PS: It would be a good idea if we can get notifcation on the e-mail when someone replies to a post.

I'll give you a hint and leave the opportunity to other members to explain further. One of the processes is a Planning process, and the other is an Executing process.

Regarding the email notification, I checked your notification preferences, and I think you should receive the notification at the email address you have on account, when people reply to your post. Please make sure that your emails are not getting filtered into some folder or going into the Spam folder.

Thanks...Sorry for the delayed response as I was waiting to finish my 2nd review .

I think I got it now:

The reason is that some documnets such as risk register and resource calender are updated throughout the projects so there are same outputs from the execution group and planning. Right?
