PMP application process

Hi,

I am planning my exam before end of this year. I am getting mixed suggestion for how to fill the experience in application for PMP.
1) Divide the experience by year focussing on each processes
2) Divide the experience by projects. Keep minimum projects to avoid confusion

Which one is correct way? If i divide by project that will be difficult as i have many mini projects rather than a big project spanning over years.

Please suggest.

Hi Meg,

In the PMP application form, you need to summarize your experience by Projects. So dividing by Projects should be the way to go.

Be careful while calculating experience for overlapping projects. For example, if you worked on 2 projects simultaneously for 6 months with 50% allocation each, then you can claim total experience of 6 months, not 12 months.
